Liz Cheney – a must read

Liz Cheney was one of the highest ranking, most conservative, and respected members of congress; chairing the House Republican Conference. In 2021 she voted to impeach President Trump for actions leading to, and including, the storming of the capitol, and for his many attempts to nullify election results and claim victory. The majority in the House and Senate also voted to impeach President Trump for his corrupt behavior.

Cheney’s book ‘Oath and Honor’ chronicles in detail the ‘behind the scenes’ actions of many in congress as they worked through one of the most destructive series of events in our U.S. democratic history. Cheney was there, in the thick of it, and her account provides a needed reminder that character matters and that whoever sits in the Oval Office must respect their oath and our democracy.

The Brown County library has ‘Oath and Honor.’ It’s a must read.
