The smells of popcorn, funnel cakes and animal barns fill the air.

It’s that time of year again, the Brown County 4-H fair is here. Whether you enjoy carnival rides, fair foods, animals or the demolition derby, the fair has something for everyone.

Kicking off with various animal shows including horses, ponies, cats and dogs, the Brown County 4-Hers are just getting started. Another staple event was the Queen Pageant Sunday.

The fair wraps up Saturday with the livestock auction, battle royale and bracelet night at the carnival. Before that, the bicycle drag race is scheduled for today, swine and poultry shows are scheduled for Thursday and the demolition derby is on the books for Friday along with the small and large animal master showman contests.

All grandstand events will begin at 7 p.m. with general admission tickets ranging from $10 for children ages four to 11, $15 for ages 12 and up and $25 for pit admission.

The carnival rides will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today through Friday and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Participants can purchase bracelets for the carnival tonight and Saturday $25 per bracelet.
