Nashville man charged with misdemeanors for domestic battery and intimidation

NASHVILLE – A 37-year-old Nashville man Justin Irwin has been charged with two class A misdemeanors for intimidation and domestic battery.

On April 27 Detective Joshua Stargell received a call from Brown County Dispatch regarding a physical domestic incident resulting in a person being stabbed. According to the report, Irwin was stabbed by one of his daughters.

According to the report, when he arrived on scene Irwin was in the ambulance obtaining medical treatment and was later transported to Columbus Regional Hospital.

Irwin’s two daughters allegedly had recorded videos of the incident and sent them to Stargell. In the videos Irwin could be seen allegedly walking around holding a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and threatening to break the youngest daughter’s phone.

According to the report, Irwin was seen pushing several family members out of the way while charging the youngest daughter. The oldest daughter allegedly threatened him not to touch her sibling or boyfriend and claimed she would stab him with a knife.

According to the report, Irwin continued to charge the youngest daughter and the oldest daughter stabbed him in the back with a steak knife.

The youngest daughter called emergency services and allegedly told them that Irwin tried hitting her, so she hit him with a screwdriver. According to the report, there was a screwdriver on the floor near where the incident happened.

Two Brown County men charged with level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine

NASHVILLE – A 59-year-old man William Fox and a 46-year old man Brandon Lee both from Nashville have each been charged with a level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine.

On June 8, Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Bales was driving on Salt Creek Road when he noticed a gold Honda Odyssey towing a trailer with no functional brake lights or turn signals.

According to the report, Bales conducted a routine traffic stop and Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Gibson arrived on the scene to assist.

Bales allegedly approached the vehicle and Lee was visibly nervous. According to the report, Bales and Gibson had Fox and Lee exit the vehicle at separate times.

They allegedly asked both of them individually if there was anything illegal in the vehicle.

According to the report, the officers then got K9 Samson out to conduct a free-air sniff of the vehicle. During their search, Bales allegedly located an open pack of cigarettes and when he picked up the box he noticed a clear plastic capsule with a lid wrapped in electrical tape under the pack. According to the report, there was a crystalline substance inside of the capsule suspected to be methamphetamine.

Fox allegedly told Bales that he did not smoke cigarettes, but also had lighters in the vehicle. Lee was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and transported to the jail.

According to the report, a few hours later Fox called into the jail’s recorded line and admitted to Lee that the methamphetamine was his. Fox was allegedly placed under arrest by Gibson and Bales after reviewing the call.

Nineveh woman charged with felony for auto theft

NINEVEH – A 52-year-old Nineveh woman Linda Kelly has been charged with a level 6 felony for auto theft, a class A misdemeanor for resisting law enforcement and a class B misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident.

On June 4, Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Bales was advised by dispatch about a two vehicle accident with one vehicle leaving the scene.

According to the report, Bales checked the license plate while en-route and found that it was registered to Kelly for a Dodge Ram. Bales allegedly checked the Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy District traffic cameras and observed a truck entering the lakes bearing the license plate registered to Kelly’s silver Dodge.

According to the report, Bales went to Kelly’s residence on Cordy Drive and observed the 2015 black Toyota Tundra in the driveway. Bales allegedly searched for Kelly and found her underneath the deck of the house.

According to the report, Kelly denied that she was driving the vehicle but told Bales that she recently purchased the truck and had not registered it yet, so she had placed a license plate from another vehicle on it. According to the report, dispatch advised Bales that the vehicle returned stolen out of Ohio.

Upon hearing this, Bales allegedly told Kelly to put her hands behind her back and Kelly resisted. According to the report, Kelly tried resisting Bales by pulling away and arguing until he pinned her on the ground and handcuffed her.

Kelly allegedly told Bales that she had recently purchased the vehicle from a friend who got it in indianapolis. According to the report, she was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital for an injury on her arm and was later moved to the Brown County Jail.
