When was the last time you took time to thank your local EMS workers?
Some of you see them at home or around town, but many people only come into contact with local EMTs and paramedics during the time of an emergency.
The first ones to arrive to the scene of an accident or an emergency at your home, they can even be the main reason people receive life-saving help during a critical time.
EMTs and Paramedics not only provide emergency care, but they also transport people to the hospital when an incident calls for it. They have been doing it in this country for nearly 160 years. That’s a lot of lives to save and pressure to carry!
At the Brown County Democrat, we believe in setting aside space to salute our heroic men and women who choose such risky and selfless jobs to help the citizens of our community.
