Where’s There: Summer on the Green

0

Well look who it is, long time no see, Brown County— it’s been a week.

This week I am back with a location between Nashville and Gnaw Bone that is popular for its athletics, entertainment and events.

When I was young, my grandpa tried to get me into this sport… he bought me the clubs and everything— sorry grandpa. Everytime I played putt putt, I was reminded of my own strength. I think Tiger Woods can thank me for never picking up the clubs professionally.

When I picture the stock photo for this sport it’s people driving through nature on a cart, beverage in one hand and a smile on their face— now I know that’s not the reality for many of you rascals, but I’m envisioning the perfect day of bliss. If I ever do decide to take up the sport and let off steam, I will issue an official warning to everyone within a three-mile radius.

Think you know where I am? Send us an email at [email protected] or stop by our office with your guess in-person. One lucky person will be chosen at random to win a personal copy of 175 Years of Brown County.

Last week we had five correct guesses that I was at the Brown County Humane Society. Thank you to Pam Hochstetler, Chris Eickleberry, Pat Robinson, Sharon Roth and Dana Figg for playing along. You guys are the best!

After a random drawing, our winner for last week is… drum roll please, Pat Robinson! Congratulations Pat!

Feel free to stop by our office during regular hours (M-F, 9-4) to grab your copy of 175 Years of Brown County and get a photo with me. We are out and about a lot, so you might want to call ahead (988-2221) to make sure I’m here!
