Nature Daze returns Saturday for 18th year

One of Indiana’s native flowering plants Liatris, more commonly known as Blazing Star.

Registration is still open for Brown County Native Woodlands Project’s 18th annual Nature Daze program on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with check-in opening at 8:30 a.m.

The event will be located at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa (2230 Clay Lick Road) and will offer a variety of speakers, topics, a children’s program, native plant sale and door prizes. The event will also have a free lunch with vegetarian and gluten free options available.

Scheduled speakers include LeAnne Barta from Indiana Lyme Connect, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources Extension Forester Lenny Farlee, Habitat Solutions LLC Consulting Forester Dan McGuckin, Botanist and Invasive Species Technician for Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation David Mow, Biologist and Botanist Dawn Slack and Biologist and Principal for Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. Ryan Slack.
