Howdy, Brown County! It’s your courageous commuter back with a new location this week, and this one is right off South Van Buren Street.
This shop was one of my most frequented haunts in high school. We would walk over after school, grab a drink and study — or talk, more like it. Although it’s changed over the years, the essence of the store has stayed the same.
This was the first place I tried bubble tea, more commonly known as boba. It was revolutionary for teenage me and I loved mixing the flavors to find the best combinations. My favorite was a pear tea with all different types of flavored bubbles. It’s been so long that I think we can say a silent farewell to my precious pear tea.
Now they also sell other types of tea, coffee, cream soda, lattes and pastries. So, Brown County… where’s there?
