Letter: Longtime county resident voting Greg Taggart for commissioner

Editor:

My letter is to share with the readers of this newspaper why I am voting for a Brown County kid, independent candidate Greg Taggart for County Commissioner District 3.

I have known Greg since the day he was born because I, too, am a Brown County kid. I went to school with Greg’s parents. The Taggarts are good people who are native Brown Countians. The family is well respected and have served the citizens of Brown County since 1821.

This election is very important to Brown County and its future. We need a commissioner who truly loves Brown County and understands which direction we need to go. Greg will not sell us out as others intend to do. He will not sell the Brown County Music Center. I attended a concert at the music center last week.

Greg Taggart has spent his life here, he works here, he attends church here, he works with our schools, our kids and grandkids. He will help keep our kids here so they can have the wonderful life here as we all have. He supports our family businesses, the tourist community, our parks, our events and our town.

Greg is the right choice for Brown County because Greg Taggart is Brown County.
