Friends of park

The next meeting of Friends of Brown County State Park will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 at the Nature Center. It will be a pitch-in followed by the meeting.

The next event will be the Friends’ annual plant sale Saturday, April 23 at the Nature Center, from 9 a.m. until plants are sold out.

Beekeepers club

The 10 o’clock Beeline Beekeepers Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 11, in a lower-level meeting room of the Brown County Public Library, 205 N. Locust Lane.

Discussion will include preparing for nectar flow and dealing with swarms.

The club meets the second Monday of each month when bees are active. Anyone interested in bees or beekeeping is welcome, especially people interested in starting a beehive. Experienced beekeepers are available as mentors.

Widowed group

The Brown County Widowed Group will sponsor a euchre party at Sycamore Valley Community Center, 746 Memorial Drive at the fairgrounds, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12. Any widowed person is welcome.
