Man accused of smoking pot

A Nashville man was arrested April 24 after police say they caught him smoking marijuana in the Brown County Career Resource Center parking lot.

Nashville Police Chief Ben Seastrom responded to the CRC for a report of a person in the parking lot who was in possession of drugs. He approached a maroon vehicle and found Dean Terrill, 19, leaning over the passenger side, his report said.

Seastrom reported smelling burnt marijuana. Terrill told Seastrom he was going inside the CRC to fill out a job application. He denied smoking marijuana, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Seastrom searched Terrill’s vehicle and Terrill told him a pipe was under a shirt in the passenger seat. Seastrom found the pipe with residue in it and reported that it smelled like burnt marijuana. He also found a bag with a “very small amount” of loose marijuana flakes, the report said.

Terrill was arrested for possession of paraphernalia. He was charged with a misdemeanor April 28.
