Two people injured in multiple car crash on Railroad Road

Two people were injured Friday evening after a car ran off the side of Railroad Road, overcorrected and struck two other cars.

Around 6 p.m. Brittany P. Easley, 20, Martinsville, was driving northbound on Railroad Road near Stinson Road when her 2008 Chevrolet Equinox ran off the road, according to witness and driver statements.

She overcorrected causing her to crash into two oncoming vehicles, an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell states.

The second driver, Sarah K. Clark, 27, Nashville, slammed on her brakes and ran into a ditch on the west side of the road to avoid crashing into Easley, but was unsuccessful, Stargell noted.

Clark told police she saw Easley’s Equinox strike a third vehicle driven by Sue A. Troglin, 60, Indianapolis, before Clark hit her brakes.

Troglin was transported by EMS to the Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

EMS personnel said Troglin could remember the crash, but had trouble with her memory. She also reported having chest pains.

Easley had an abrasion on her left knee, a hematoma and abrasion on her left arm and a seat belt burn on the left side of her neck, according to the accident report.

Easley was treated at the scene. Clark was not injured.

All of the vehicles were towed from the scene. All of the drivers were wearing seat belts.
