It was all in good fun when Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Williams received a pie in the face from fellow deputy Josh Stargell on Aug. 31.
Williams received a pie to the face outside of Mother’s Cupboard Community Kitchen before the meeting of Mother’s Cupboard’s Board of Directors.
Prior to that, the sheriff’s department presented a $930 donation to Mother’s Cupboard Board of Directors President Sandy Richardson.
Williams was voted the county’s favorite deputy during the Brown County 4-H Fair when people donated money to vote for their favorite deputy.
The top winner received a pie in the face.
Stargell came in second with receiving $232 and Williams raised $433.
The Favorite Deputy contest was a fundraiser for Mother’s Cupboard.
