Minor injuries reported after rear-end crash

BEAN BLOSSOM — Minor injuries were reported on July 26 after a 19-year-old driver was rear-ended by another 19-year-old driver while trying to make a turn off State Road 135 North.

The crash was reported just after 6 p.m. Faith Parry, 19, of Brown County, told police she was stopped in the southbound lane on 135 North with her turn signal on, waiting to turn into Faith Full Gospel Church when she was hit, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell.

Katlyn Butcher, 19, told police she was also driving south on 135 North when she realized Perry’s vehicle was turning. She said she hit her brakes and swerved, but ended up striking Parry’s vehicle, according to the report.

Butcher complained of head pain, but she was treated at the scene. Parry also had a complaint of head pain, but she refused treatment. Both drivers left their cars in the church parking lot and were going to get their own wreckers, the report said.
