RACHEL KILBY

Rachel Kilby is the daughter of Scott and Annette Kilby. Rachel was born and raised in Nashville. She is the oldest of four children and the only girl. Her brothers are Nathan (15), Hunter (9) and Levi (6).

Rachel has been in the Brown County 4-H Gang for 10 years. She enjoys animals, time with friends, fishing, camping, playing softball and time spent in nature.

Since graduating in June, Rachel has been working full time at McAlister’s Deli in Columbus as the catering coordinator.

HAILEY LANE

Hailey Lane’s parents are Jason and Christy Lane. She is an avid member of the Swine Club. After graduation, she plans to receive a certification to become a CCMA (certified clinical medical assistant).

Lane says: “In the years I have been in 4-H, I have experienced so many things that I wouldn’t trade for the world. It has taught me how to enjoy the little things, like taking care of pigs and walking them and becoming a good show person. I enjoyed all the experiences with all the 4-H friends I’ve made. 4-H is a lifetime opportunity that everyone should experience.”

MORGAN LEE

Morgan Lee is a senior at Brown County High School. Her parents are Chad and Brittanie Lee, who have helped her and have gotten her through everything. “I am so thankful that they are so supportive,” Lee said.

Lee has been in 4-H for two years. The Bond family helped her decide to go into the program. Ellie Bond let her help with animals, which made Lee’s love for animals grow even more. After long discussions and hard work, Lee decided to try showing pigs. “I have to say a big thank-you to Joe and Andy Bond for all their support and everything they have taught me along this journey,” Lee said.

Lee says: “I am so sad that this year is my last year and I wish I knew how fun it was, so I could have started sooner. I’ve learned so much these past two years, and I couldn’t have done it without my amazing family and great friends. Thank you to my parents, Colt Lee, Chuck and Sharon Lee, the Bond family, and Hannah Huber for all the support you all have given me these past few years.”

She plans to attend Ivy Tech in Columbus and study medical imaging.

ASHLEY STOUT

Ashley Stout, daughter of Steve and Kim Stout, is a 10-year Brown County 4-H member, four-year Indian Creek FFA member and has gone to Indian Creek since kindergarten. In her four years of high school, she has cheered alongside her best friends for three years, and during her senior year decided to participate in track. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana in the fall, majoring in dental hygiene.

In her 10 years of 4-H, she has have shown horses and goats. One of her recycling projects and several photography projects have been displayed at the state fair.

Stout says: “4-H has taught me countless skills such as leadership, responsibility, and how to have fun. I have met some of my closest friends through this program and can thank my 4-H family for shaping me into who I am today. On my summers home from college, I plan on coming home and helping Brown County 4-H and watching my friends show their animals.”
