Police blotter for week of Sept. 16

Charges filed for marijuana, paraphernalia

Police stopped a 44-year-old Brown County woman on Aug. 7 after discovering she was driving with a suspended license.

Nashville Patrolman Billy Bryant stopped the vehicle driven by Kyle Marchuk on Van Buren Street after running the vehicle’s plate. Marchuk told Bryant she did not know her license was suspended. Bryant confirmed the suspension after getting her driver’s license and told Marchuk she needed to have someone come pick her up, the probable cause affidavit states.

Bryant searched the vehicle and reported finding a clear plastic container in the passenger seat with marijuana and a glass pipe inside with marijuana residue in it, according to the affidavit.

Marchuk said the marijuana and pipe were hers.

She was cited before being released from the scene.

She was charged on Aug. 31 with two misdemeanors and a Class A infraction for driving while suspended.
