Police: Man did not report to jail on drug charge

A Brown County man is facing a felony charge after officers say he did not report to jail to serve a sentence on a misdemeanor.

Trenton M. Dilk, 24, of Mt. Liberty Road, had been on probation for possession of a controlled substance since August. He was arrested again in October in Bartholomew County on charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Brown County probation office revoked his probation on the misdemeanor charge and he was ordered to report to jail for a 150-day sentence starting Dec. 28.

Probation officer Amanda Kuhfahl wrote in a probable-cause affidavit that Dilk did not show up at the jail on that date, and she has had no contact with him since Dec. 26.

Dilk was charged with failure to return to lawful detention, a Level 6 felony, on Jan. 24.
