Coach’s comments: More than halfway through their season, the Eagles finally played their first road match, losing to the Owen Valley Patriots at Rolling Meadows Golf Course 170 to 182. Parker VanNess fired another sub-par round and his one-under 35 took medalist honors. The Patriots, however, had four players scoring between 40 and 45, enabling them to take the win. Senior Ben Rygiel shot another solid round with a 46, and sophomore Peyton Proctor recorded his best score of the season with a 47. Brown County resumes to action when it hosts Mitchell Wednesday, May 2.

Coach’s comments: After a loss to Owen Valley Tuesday, the Eagles bounced back with a victory over the Mitchell Blue Jackets at Salt Creek, shooting a respectable 182. Firing another strong round and claiming medalist honors was junior Parker VanNess, whose even-par total of 36 gave him his fifth round of par or better this season. With only one match scheduled for this week, Hauser at Clifty Creek, the Eagles will have ample time to prepare for the WIC championships slated for Saturday, May 12 at Rolling Meadows.
