Man injured when motorcycle strikes parked truck

A 22-year-old Brown County man received a laceration to his forehead on Nov. 21 after he struck a parked truck while riding a motorcycle on Main Street.

Nashville Police Officer Justin Anderson reported that the motorcycle driver, Charles Philpot, was sitting on the truck owner’s front porch near the Johnson Street intersection when he arrived.

Philpot said he was going about 20 MPH at the time and he was not sure how he had struck the parked the truck in the rear. He told police he was fine and wanted to go home.

Philpot refused transport by ambulance to the hospital for his head injury. The officer advised him to seek medical attention, his report states.

Philpot was cited for driving without proof of insurance. A relative came to pick up him and the motorcycle.
