Our Folks: Honors

Lauralee Sisson-Treece

CHICAGO — Lauralee Sisson-Treece, formerly of Nashville, was among 200 veterans who were asked on Dec. 3 to help celebrate Illinois’ birthday at the United Center. Treece is the daughter of Lester and Brenda Sisson and the sister of Les (Nina) Sisson, all of Nashville.

The veterans were recognized by the Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs and the Illinois Bicentennial Office for continued work in their communities after serving their country. Governor Bruce Rauner stated, “We are proud to honor these 200 men and women as part of our bicentennial celebration. Their service didn’t stop when they took off their uniforms. They continue to be heroes among us by going above and beyond the call of duty to take care of people in their communities.”
