Woman hurt in crash on Peoga Road

PEOGA — A Trafalgar woman was transported to the hospital on Jan. 4 after the vehicle she was driving hit an embankment and flipped on Peoga Road.

Brianna Greene, 22, was driving north on Peoga Road near Locust Grove Estates Road around 3:30 p.m. when she met another vehicle on a blind hill crest, according to an accident report by Sgt. Scott Bowling with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

Greene went to the right and her vehicle left the road. When she drove the vehicle back on the road, she lost control and went to the west side before going off the road again. Greene then hit an embankment, which caused her vehicle to flip on its left side, the accident report states.

The other driver told police that Greene was on his side of the road and that she “jerked” the vehicle right before losing control.

Greene told police that she and the other driver were both in the center of the road when they met. She said she veered right, causing her to go off the road and lose control.

She was taken to a hospital by ambulance for a fracture/dislocation of her shoulder/upper arm, the report states.

It’s not clear whether or not Greene was wearing a seat belt; that box was marked “unknown” on the report. Her Mercury Mountaineer was towed.
