BRIGHT SPOTS: Stories of kindness

Due to COVID-19, Thrive Alliance had to suspend its congregate meal sites for seniors until it's safe to resume again. In the meantime, meal participants were transitioned to home delivery through a variety of options. In addition, Thrive Alliance staff, with the assistance of TRIAD volunteers, recently offered home-delivered hot meals to 130 residents of Willow Manor and Hawthorne Hills in Nashville, one of their regular congregate meal locations. The meals were prepared by Catering by Karr and delivered throughout Willow Manor. Similar hot meal delivery is planned for the upcoming weeks -- one way that Thrive Alliance is continuing to provide services despite the pandemic disruption. This photo includes Shelby Eggers, Healthcare Integrations and Community Education Manager with Thrive Alliance (front left) and Tara Schoettmer, a volunteer (back left). Submitted photo
