Driver taken to hospital after hitting tree

A 52-year-old Brown County woman was taken to a hospital on Nov. 30 after she hit a tree while driving on wet pavement on Clay Lick Road.

The crash was reported just before 10 a.m. near the Hilltop Trail intersection, according to an accident report by Sgt. Chad Williams with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

Connie Fields told police she was driving north on Clay Lick when she came into a right curve and her vehicle went straight due to the wet pavement, the report states.

Her vehicle hit a tree. It was towed due to disabling damage, the report said.

Fields was taken to a hospital by ambulance for further treatment of an injury to her knee/lower leg/foot, the report states.
