Aging & Community Services of South Central Indiana, Inc. dba Thrive Alliance, is accepting proposal packets for Older Americans Act Title III-B funding to provide transportation services for the elderly and persons with disabilities in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration expects to make available no more than $50,000 of Title III-B funds in Bartholomew, Jackson, Decatur, Brown and Jennings Counties. Title III-B Older Americans Act funds may be requested by any 501(c) 3 organization that designs a program specifically to provide transportation to persons age 60 or over or persons of any age with disabilities.

Applicants for Title III-B funds may request an application from the Thrive Alliance office. Technical assistance in grant preparation is available by request.

Completed proposals will be accepted until 5:00 PM August 28, 2020 at the Thrive Alliance office in the United Way Center, 1531 13th Street, Suite G900, Columbus, IN 47201-1302. For further information, contact David Clay at Thrive Alliance at 812-522-5256.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SEWER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE GNAW BONE REGIONAL SEWAGE DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all customers of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District sewer system and any other interested parties, and to all owners of property located within the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District, that on June 7, 2021, the Board of Directors of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District adopted, on first reading, Ordinance 2021-01, “An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 98-01 Increasing Rates And Charges To Be Collected By The Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District From Customers Of The Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District Sewer System For Monthly Sewer Charges”. Ordinance 2021-01 increased the rates and charges to customers of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District as follows:
The current rates and charges are:

Minimum Monthly Charge is $50.00, Flat Rate

If adopted, Ordinance 2021-01 will increase rates and charges as follows:

Minimum Monthly Charge is $65.00, Flat Rate

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Ordinance 2021-01 by the Board of Directors of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District on the 2nd day of August, 2021 at 5:30pm. Said hearing will be held at the Gnaw Bone Food Mart (in the back dining room area), 4947 State Road 46 E, Nashville, Indiana. All customers of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District, all property owners located within the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District, and all other interested persons may be heard at said hearing concerning the proposed rates and charges. After the hearing, the Board of Directors of the Gnaw Bone Regional Sewage District shall adopt the Ordinance amending said rates and charges, either as originally introduced or as said Ordinance may be modified or amended.
