Brent Lee Biddle, age 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, August 17, 2023 at his home in Brown County.

Brent was born March 23, 1962 in Ojai, CA to his parents, the late Larry Lee and Diana Marie (McCullough) Biddle. He was a 1980 graduate of Covington High School and went on to serve as a Specialist 4, Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist for the United States Army while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. After being honorably discharged, Brent earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Marantha Baptist College in Watertown, WI and later earned his Master’s in Divinity (M.Div) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Brent worked for himself and was a licensed auctioneer.

He was a member of the Brown County Community Church in Helmsburg and the National Christian College Athletic Association. Brent enjoyed volunteering at Mother’s Cupboard Community Kitchen in Nashville and was one of the original cooks when it was formed. He also enjoyed working with flowers, spending time with his family and caring for his cat, Tia. Brent loved to collect pop-up books and had a collection of more than 500 books. While in college, Brent was a Heavy Weight Wrestling Champion, held several power lifting records and was a member of the World Association of Bench Pressers &Deadlifters (WABDL). He was also an internationally ranked Power Lifting Official.

Brent is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Diana Lynn (McDonald) Biddle, whom he married on November 24, 1984 in Nashville. He is also survived by his children, Abigail (Jonathan) Whitaker of Paragon, Hannah (Jeremy Springer) Biddle of Wisconsin, Sarah (Brenden) Biddle-Reiser of Germany &Katie Biddle of Colorado; grandchildren, Merida, Ryan and Lee.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Zane Biddle.

A Celebration of Brent’s Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Military rites will be presented by the United States Army and the Brown County Honor Guard.
