Brown County under freeze warning

Brown County and much of central Indiana is under a freeze warning early Thursday morning, with temperatures expected to fall to as low as 29 degrees.

The National Weather Service has issued the first freeze warning of the fall season, effective from 2 to 9 a.m. Thursday, for all of central Indiana. Portions of Indiana south of Brown County are under a frost advisory during this time.

The freeze warning means that frost and freezing conditions could kill crops, sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing, according to the National Weather Service. Residents are advised to take precautions to protect sensitive outdoor plants.
