Obtain your high school equivalency

The center will host a high school equivalency orientation Monday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Call to register for these free classes.

ServSafe food manager certification free course

The Brown County Health Department will offer a ServSafe Food Manager Certification class at no cost to county non-profit organizations. This class will be held December 3 and 4 at the Brown County Health Department, 200 Hawthorne Drive, next to the YMCA in Nashville.

Times will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. both days. Participants will receive the latest ServSafe Food Manager text with the 2022 Food Code updates.

This class is being provided with funds from the Health First Indiana initiative. To sign up, call 812-988-2255.

The certification for a ServSafe Food Manager is good for five years. This class will cover all aspects of food safety and will help those who take the training provide safe food at nonprofit events. The class is open to all nonprofit organizations, including churches, fire departments, etc.
