Obituaries: We normally receive obituaries through the funeral home or crematory. Please ask for the obituary to be sent to the Brown County Democrat at [email protected]. The deadline to receive obits for the current week’s paper is 10 a.m. Monday.

You may submit an obituary directly to us, but we require some documentation of the death — either a death certificate or the phone number of the funeral home or crematory which is handling final arrangements. Please call 812-988-2221 to discuss this option.
