What you need to know before you head to the polls to vote

EARLY VOTING

Today, May 2, is the last day for walk-in absentee voting in the small conference room on the first floor of the County Office Building, from 8 a.m. to noon.

IDENTIFICATION

All walk-in absentee and Election Day voters need to present a government-issued photo identification before voting. In order to be acceptable, the identification must state the name of the voter, contain their photograph, have an expiration date and still be valid or expired after Nov. 4, 2014, and be issued by the State of Indiana or U.S. government.

WHERE DO I VOTE?

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. On Election Day, you must vote in the precinct in which you are registered.
