Maxine H. (Weaver) Fox, 89, passed away Monday evening, May 9, 2016, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. She was a resident of Brown County.

She was born in Indianapolis on March 20, 1927, to the late Garfield and Clara (Huber) Weaver. Maxine was a loving mother and homemaker. She worked during the 1980s in food service at Indiana University in Bloomington and in housekeeping at Abe Martin Lodge, Brown County State Park in Nashville during the 1990s.

She attended Belmont Chapel Church in Brown County and will be remembered for her cooking and baking. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working word-search puzzles and playing bingo.

Maxine is survived by her children, Steve (Brenda) Fox of Ellettsville, Brenda (Kenny) Mullis of Unionville, Debbie (Ray) Guffey, Cheryl Bartley-Unger, Gary Fox, Gregory Fox, Thomas (Benita) Fox, Dennis Fox and Joe (Georgia) Fox, all of Brown County; brother, Art (Laura) Weaver of Greenwood; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ray Fox; and several siblings.

Bro. Bruce Bond will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Bond–Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North in Nashville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery, Brown County.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
