LAST DAY: Students’ last day is Tuesday, May 24, because only three snow days were used and classes started the first week of August. The last time students were released in May was in 2013, on May 29. This summer will be 11 weeks and one day long; last summer was nine weeks and two days.

GRADUATION: The commencement ceremony for the Brown County High School class of 2016 will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Larry C. Banks Memorial Gymnasium. Practice will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 3.

KIDS EAT FREE: The Brown County Schools district will continue to serve lunches every weekday through July 29. All children 18 and younger can eat for free. See details, including locations, at this link.

RETURN DATE: For students, the 2016-17 school year will start Wednesday, Aug. 10.
