Richard “Dick” Davenport, 82, Trafalgar, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at his home.

He is survived by his children, Richard David (Delia) Davenport of Jacksonville, Florida, Donald Alan Davenport of Trafalgar, and Douglas William (Kris) Davenport of Franklin; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Yvonne (Yoder) Davenport.

The Rev. Ed Tharp will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Following the service, military rites will be presented by Martinsville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars honor guards.

Friends can call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
