A Nashville woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle was rear-ended on State Road 46 East June 7.

Linda Margison, 47, was turning on to Deer Trails Drive around 11 a.m. when her Ford Focus was hit by a Pontiac Vibe driven by Chancelor B. Parrish, 19, Nashville.

Parrish told Deputy Scott Bowling that he “looked down or away” and when he looked up, it was too late for him to avoid the collision.

Margison told police that she was eastbound and stopped in traffic when she saw Parrish’s vehicle coming up on her fast.

She was taken to the hospital for neck pain. Parrish refused treatment.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Both vehicles were towed.
