Details of what happened weren’t immediately available. Brown County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Greg Pittman said he was not giving media any details until he knew all the facts, which could take several hours.

He did confirm that the incident may be related to previous calls for help from the same address.

Police and EMS were called at about 4:15 p.m. today to a report of two women being shot on Lucas Hollow, a gravel county road off Hoover Road in eastern Brown County.

One person, described over emergency radio as a 30-year-old woman, was being flown to a hospital with two gunshot wounds to the leg.

Another person was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Police reported having a man in custody, according to dispatch radio.

Dispatch radio reported that 911 callers heard gunshots and saw a man walking down Lucas Hollow Road toward Hoover Road. Dispatch relayed to police that the man stopped to tell a 911 caller he had shot two people, and continued walking down the road.

Around 4:20 p.m., Law enforcement reported over the radio that they had reached a man who was kneeling with his hands behind his head. Shortly after, an officer reported a suspect in custody.

The address where police were called today was the same one to which they were called at least three times on Friday.

The dispatch log shows police were called for a verbal domestic dispute at about 2 p.m. Aug. 19, and again for harassment at around 6:30. Just after 8 p.m. Aug. 19, dispatch received a call from a neighboring address about trespassing, and at 10:20 p.m., a disturbance at the same address where the shooting was reported today.
