A stop for speeding Aug. 28 resulted in the arrest of an Indianapolis man for driving while intoxicated.

At around 4:15 a.m., Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Stargell pulled over a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Christian M. Going, 24, for speeding on State Road 46 East.

Stargell reported smelling alcohol on Going, that his speech was slurred, his eyes were red/watery, his balance was unsteady and that he at times had an “abusive attitude,” a police report said.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.16, twice the legal limit.

Going was charged Aug. 29 with three alcohol-related misdemeanors.
