Nashcar Outhouse Races

The afternoon rain didn’t stop the eighth annual Nashcar Outhouse Races Sept. 17.

After the rain cleared, the fun continued as outhouses of different shapes and sizes raced from the top of the West Main Street hill towards the Village Green pavilion.

The Brown County Lions Club won the overall championship. They also placed first in the stock division after passing by the Salvation Army in the final race.

The Brown County Shrine Club won first in the modified division after defeating Nashville United Methodist Church’s Holy Roller.

The Shriners and Lions faced in the overall championship round.

The Nashcar Outhouse Races were part of the We Care Gang’s 12th annual Abe Martin County Picnic that also featured a hog roast and corn hole and plunger toss competitions.

All proceeds went to We Care Gang who will use the funds to provide food and shelter to those in need in Brown County.
