Rotary Club

Brown County Rotarians will finalize plans to give away $2,400 to six lucky winners while raising money for community projects when they meet Thursday, Sept. 22. The breakfast meeting begins at 7:15 a.m. in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St.

After club members sell $20 tickets, raffle winners will be drawn Oct. 27. Top prize is $1,500 cash. Second prize is $500, and the next four prizes are $100 each.

The club uses part of the proceeds for charitable projects ranging from student scholarships to local civic improvements.

Widowed group

The Brown County Widowed Group will sponsor a euchre party at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Sycamore Valley Community Center, 746 Memorial Drive at the fairgrounds.

Photography club

The Brown County Photography Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Brown County Public Library, 205 N. Locust Lane.

The club is open to anyone interested in photography. Meetings the second Tuesday of each month include photo shares and tech tips. The club also schedules one photography day trip each month and exhibits work in local venues several times each year.

Preservation society

At 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, the Brown County Cemetery Preservation Society, will meet in a lower-level meeting room of the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane.
