Election 2016: Early and Election Day voting information

VOTE ABSENTEE

If you wish to vote absentee by mail, you must request a ballot from the county clerk’s office by Monday, Oct. 31.

Regardless of what precinct you live in, you can vote early in person at the County Office Building in the first-floor small conference room. Early voting will be offered:

• Weekdays through Friday, Nov. 4, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Saturdays, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Monday, Nov. 7, 8 a.m. to noon

ELECTION DAY

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Brown County polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. To find your polling place, visit indianavoters.com and type in your address.

BRING ID

All walk-in absentee and Election Day voters need to present a government-issued photo identification prior to voting. In order to be acceptable, the identification must state the name of the voter, contain the voter’s photograph, have an expiration date and still be valid or expired after Nov. 4, 2014, and be issued by U.S. or Indiana government.
