Teachers awarded MAC Grant
Rachel Hardy, a teacher at Brown County Junior High School, was awarded a McDonald’s Make Activities Count Grant to use advanced technology for students to enhance reading with audible books and to make reading more accessible for students at home.
Principal Brian Garman said the grant was also awarded to Sumner and Denton.
MAC Grants is an on-going program that offers area sixth-to-eighth-grade teachers up to $500 each to help enhance learning with hands-on activities for their students. McDonald’s Restaurants of Central Indiana supports activities that supplement regular classroom curriculum. Those interested in applying for the grant can submit an application at macgrantsindy.com next fall.
