JACKSON TWP. — Locked brakes caused an Oak Ridge Road man to lose control of his vehicle and strike a tree on Three Story Hill Road Dec. 19.
According to an accident report by Nashville Police Assistant Chief Tim True, Joseph S. Stinson, 25, was driving east down a hill on Three Story Hill near the State Road 135 North intersection when he went to brake and his brakes locked up.
Stinson then skidded through a turn, ran off the road and struck a tree, the accident report said.
When True arrived, Stinson was out of his vehicle sitting on the bumper of a fire truck already on the scene with lacerations to his forehead and right knee.
He was taken by ambulance to Columbus Regional Hospital. His 1990 Toyota pickup was towed.
