George G. “Bobby” Eads, 71, of Southbury, Connecticut, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

Known to family as Bobby, he was born Dec. 4, 1945, to L. Gaither and Emily (Sperry) Eads of rural Nashville and graduated from Brown County High School in 1964.

He is survived by his siblings, Tony (Mary Ellen) of Oak Park, Illinois, Don (Cindy) of Bloomington, Skip (Kat) of West Lafayette, and Julie (Doug) of Poughkeepsie, New York; three children; three step-children; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Nancy.

“I had a swell time — thanks to you. ‘It’s not life that matters, but the courage you bring to it.’ In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, I ask you to speak kindly of others and to do a good deed. Bye for now … George.”

Services were conducted privately.
