A decisive win was the way the Eagles sent off their six seniors Friday night in their last home game of the season.
Brown County topped Greenwood Christian Academy 62-41 in a very physical game, with seven points in the last half scored from free-throws for the Eagles.
Students came in camouflage, chanted and shook turkey decoys. As the senior players exited the game in the final minutes, students’ chants changed to “Thank you, seniors.”
All seniors on the basketball team, cheerleading squad, dance team and band were recognized before the start of the varsity game. The line of them and their parents stretched around the Larry C. Banks Memorial Gymnasium from goal to goal.
The Eagles also won their Saturday night game at White River Valley, 76-39.
They start sectional play against Sullivan at Edgewood on Tuesday.
