BEAN BLOSSOM — A Columbus woman was arrested on drug charges early April 6 after police responded to a disturbance at the Bean Blossom Trailer Court.
Nashville Police Officer Michael Williams reported that when he arrived at a trailer at about 5:15 a.m. he found 21-year-old Sierra M. Steiner inside an enclosed porch yelling incoherently.
Williams moved a large box and paint can to open the porch door, and Steiner began yelling, “You’re going to let it in! You’re letting the fire in,” a probable cause affidavit said.
Williams said there was no fire. Williams patted her down and found three syringes with and without caps in her front sweatshirt pocket, the report said. After placing Steiner in handcuffs, Williams found two more syringes in the front of her pants near her waistline. Steiner told Williams she had used heroin and “possibly” methamphetamine earlier in the morning, the report said.
The resident of the trailer told Williams he heard a loud crash on his porch and when he looked through his window he saw Steiner moving items around the porch, according to the affidavit. He told the officer he had never seen Steiner before.
Steiner was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for a check-out before being booked into the Brown County jail.
On April 7, she was charged with unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor.
