Lois A. (Dowell) Ackerman, 85, Brown County, died Sunday morning, April 30, 2017, at I.U. Health-Hospice House in Bloomington.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mike) Fishel of Martinsville; siblings, Betty Fleetwood, Doris (Harold) Cox and Sara (Larry) Johnston, all of Morgantown, and Linda (Lew) Worcel of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul X. Ackerman Sr.; and son, Paul X. Ackerman Jr.

The Rev. Rick Miller will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown.

Friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
