A Columbus man was arrested May 7 after he was stopped for not dimming his headlights for passing traffic.

Nashville Police Officer Richard King stopped the truck driven by Kevin T. Clark, 45, at around 1 a.m. on State Road 46.

King reported smelling alcohol on Clark, that his eyes were “slightly red/watery” and that Clark failed to shut off his vehicle, the probable cause affidavit states.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.11. King also discovered less than 30 grams of marijuana and smoking devices in Clark’s vehicle.

He was charged May 8 with operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more, a Class C misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
