Coach’s comments: The Eagles made up a match that had been rained out earlier in the season and defeated the South Decatur Cougars 189-252. Brown County had the fortune of playing the match at home, although it was originally scheduled to be played away. Dawson Dunnuck played perhaps his best round of the season, settling for a 44.

Coach’s comments: With a 194-199 win over the Hauser Jets at Salt Creek, the Eagles captured their third consecutive victory. The Eagles, winners in five of their last six matches, resume play May 13 when they travel to Idle Creek Golf Course in Terre Haute for the WIC tournament.

Coach’s comments: The Eagles stumbled a bit at the WIC, finishing a disappointing eighth place in the 12-team field. Sophomore Parker VanNess once again shouldered the load, shooting a six-over 77, one stroke behind the medalist from Greencastle High School. With five regular season matches and the sectional remaining, Coach Brad Baughman is concerned about the Eagles’ performance of late. “Teams that we beat early in the season have improved significantly and are now beating us. We seem to have stalled or maybe even regressed. We can finish strong, and that will be our expectation.” The Eagles resume play Wednesday, May 17, when they host Indian Creek.
