Brian Gallagher

A Brown County man was recently rated Indiana’s No. 1 fastpitch coach by CoachUp, a sports coach marketing service.

Brian Gallagher has played, coached and taught hitting and pitching for 40-plus years, said his fiancee, Leesa Olds.

He also was rated in the top 15 of fastpitch softball coaches in the United States, she said.

Gallagher competed in fastpitch softball while in the U.S. Navy and then in men’s fastpitch leagues in Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan, according to his biography on CoachUp.com. He also wrote a book on hitting and has a dozen or more videos on YouTube.

His coaching students range in age from 7 to 22; some have gone on to play Div. 1 ball and become All-Americans, his biography says.
