Retired teachers

Brown County Retired Teachers will meet at noon Tuesday, June 13 at The Seasons Lodge. Barbara Miller will present the program, “Recognizing fraud and how to avoid it.”

Reservations can be made with Dot Owens and Sandy Ackerman.

Widowed group

The group also will sponsor euchre parties at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, June 13 and 27 at the Sycamore Valley Community Center at the fairgrounds.

Any widowed person is welcome, along with a new spouse or friend. For more information, call Keith Bradway at 812-597-0811.

Woodturners club

UNIONVILLE — The Village Woodturners, a group that focuses on projects made by wood lathe, meets at 7 p.m. second Wednesdays every other month. The next meeting will be June 14. For directions, contact Don Housman at 812-720-1174 or [email protected].

Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club meets for breakfast at 7:15 a.m. Thursdays in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St.

Area residents interested in learning more about Rotary are welcome.

Literary club

The Nashville Literary Club will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15 at Willow Manor. Rachel Perry will present a discussion of “Me Talk Pretty One Day” by David Sedaris. Co-hostesses are Perry and Donna Ray.

WRAPS

The Writers, Readers and Poets Society meets from 7 to 9 p.m. first and third Thursdays each month to read and discuss the literary compositions of those present. The next meeting is June 15. Meetings are at the Brown County Public Library, 205 N. Locust Lane. All are welcome.

Herb society

COLUMBUS — The Brown County Herb Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 19 at Natural Choices, 1825 Central Ave. Owner Carolyn Behrman will be the featured speaker. All are welcome.
