VAN BUREN TWP. — The Indiana Department of Transportation has updated its schedule for bridge work and road closures on State Road 135 South.

Spokesman Scott Manning said the bridge over Hamilton Creek in the Story area is scheduled to close Monday, July 17. “The closure date is firm, but obviously, the start of work is weather-dependent,” he said.

The plan is for a 60-day closure.

State Road 135 at Spurgeon’s Corner (the intersection of 135 South, Bob Allen Road and Becks Grove Road) is expected to reopen on Friday, July 14, Manning said.
