WebCarolClarkCarol Jean Clark, 75, of Celina, Texas, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, in McKinney, Texas, with family and friends at her side.
She was born to Alice Aemisegger and the late Arthur Pursley on March 23, 1942, in St. James, Missouri. She married the late Larry Clark Nov. 26, 1965. They had three children; Keith Clark, Dawn Smith and Karina Clark.
Carol worked as a teacher’s aid before returning to college to teach math. After moving to Texas, she worked as a floral designer, channeling her creative side. In her retirement, she bred show-quality Maltese. Carol was an elder in the Presbyterian church. Her drive for advocacy inspired her to become a poll worker for local elections. She was an avid gardener and animal-lover. She worked hard to take care of all she knew and was deeply involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives.
Carol is survived by her mother, Alice Graham of Celina, Texas; sister, Sharon Pursley of Pompono Beach, Florida; brother, John Pursley (wife, Jane) of Butler, Missouri; son, Keith Clark of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; daughters, Dawn Smith (husband, Tracy) and Karina Clark, both of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Stori Smith, Sierra Smith and Raven Debaere. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her beloved dogs.
A memorial service was July 20, at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas.
