NASHVILLE

On Friday, July 21, 2017, Mary “Janet” (Noah) Jarrett, 80, departed this earth for her true home.

Janet, as she long preferred to be called, is survived by her three adult children, Cheryl Jarrett, Dawn Bottoms and Matthew Jarrett; as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by so many; most notably, her husband, Ronald Lee Jarrett, in 1982.

Born in Memphis, TN on October 24, 1936, Janet was one of seven children of Thomas and Helen Noah. Married in Indianapolis in 1959, Janet built a wonderful life with Ron and her family in the Smith Valley neighborhood of Greenwood, living there until 1987.

For many years, Janet dreamed of retiring to a modest home in Nashville, Indiana, and when Cheryl purchased a house there in 2000, she got her wish. She lived her final years there, close to nature and in the company of Angel, her dog and beloved constant companion of 17 years, whom she lost last year.

Beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and dear sister, this world will feel her loss, while the next is enriched beyond words.

There will be a private family viewing prior to her interment, but no funeral, per Janet’s wishes.

Condolences to the family may be made at www.forestlawncemetery-fh.com.
